General Instructions for getting the most out of the Monthly Bible Study

1.         To get the most out of any Bible Study, there must be repetition.  You’ll
notice that some of the same scriptures are to be read more than once per
week.  It would be good to use a couple of different, yet reliable, translations.
Of course, the King James or the New King James Versions are standard.
There are a number of other ones that can compliment your Bible study.

2.         Pray the Ephesians chapters 1 and 3, and look to the Holy Spirit, Who is the
Great Teacher, to reveal what the Word of God is saying.

3.         Give yourself enough time to focus on what you are reading.  Your time in the
Word is the most important part of the day.  Therefore, you should try to avoid
times of the day that may be more apt to produce distractions.

4.         Remember, your Bible study doesn’t end when you stop reading.  Write a
couple of scriptures each day that the Holy Spirit quickens to you and keep
those at the forefront of your mind the rest of the day.  It’s not what you
simply read, but what becomes a part of you that will benefit you the most.
This requires meditation (see Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1:1-3).

5.         Commit to be a “doer” of the Word, not just a hearer only.  You will forget
what you do not act on.  Faith is acting like the Word of God is true.

* NOTE:  Attached are Word Meditations pertaining to the Blood of Jesus.   These may be
divided up each day as determined best for your schedule.  To get the most benefit out of the
scriptures, you should go over them at least once per week.

The Blood of Jesus

Exodus 12:13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you [are]. And when I
see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy [you] when I
strike the land of Egypt.

Exodus 12:22-23 22And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip [it] in the blood that [is] in the
basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that [is] in the basin. And none
of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. 23For the LORD will pass through to
strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the
LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike
[you].

Exodus 24:8 And Moses took the blood, sprinkled [it] on the people, and said, "This is the blood
of the covenant which the LORD has made with you according to all these words."

Exodus 25:21-22  21You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put
the Testimony that I will give you. 22And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you
from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which [are] on the ark of the
Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar
to make atonement for your souls; for it [is] the blood [that] makes atonement for the soul.'

Leviticus 17:14 for [it is] the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I said to the
children of Israel, 'You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood.
Whoever eats it shall be cut off.'

Matthew 26:28  For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the
remission of sins.

John 6:53-56 53Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh
of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54Whoever eats My flesh and
drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For My flesh is food
indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in
Me, and I in him.

John 19:34  But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and
water came out.

Acts 20:28  Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit
has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own
blood.

Romans 3:24-25 24being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ
Jesus, 25whom God set forth [as] a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His
righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously
committed,

Romans 5:9  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through Him.

I Corinthians 10:16  The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of
Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

I Corinthians 11:25  In the same manner [He] also [took] the cup after supper, saying, "This cup
is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink [it], in remembrance of Me."

Ephesians 1:7  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace

Ephesians 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by
the blood of Christ.

Colossians 1:12-14  12giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the
inheritance of the saints in the light. 13He has delivered us from the power of darkness and
conveyed [us] into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14in whom we have redemption through
His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:20  and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth
or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Hebrews 9:7  But into the second part the high priest [went] alone once a year, not without
blood, which he offered for himself and [for] the people's sins [committed] in ignorance;

Hebrews 9:12-14  12Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered
the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13For if the blood of bulls
and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the
flesh, 14how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered
Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Verse 12 (AMP) He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the
blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own
blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).

Verse 14 (AMP) How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal
Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice
to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever]
living God?

Hebrews 9:18-26  18Therefore not even the first [covenant] was dedicated without blood.
19For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the
blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book
itself and all the people, 20saying, "This [is] the blood of the covenant which God has
commanded you." 21Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the
vessels of the ministry. 22And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood,
and without shedding of blood there is no remission. 23Therefore [it was] necessary that the
copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things
themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24For Christ has not entered the holy places
made with hands, [which are] copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the
presence of God for us; 25not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the
Most Holy Place every year with blood of another--  26He then would have had to suffer often
since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put
away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Verse 26 (AMP) For then would He often have had to suffer [over and over again] since the
foundation of the world. But as it now is, He has once for all at the consummation and close of
the ages appeared to put away and abolish sin by His sacrifice [of Himself].

Hebrews 10:1-4  1For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very
image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by
year, make those who approach perfect. 2For then would they not have ceased to be offered?
For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3But in
those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4For it is not possible that the blood of
bulls and goats could take away sins.

Hebrews 10:11-23  11And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the
same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But this Man, after He had offered one
sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13from that time waiting till His
enemies are made His footstool. 14For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are
being sanctified. 15But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, 16"
This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My
laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," 17 [then He adds], "Their sins and
their lawless deeds I will remember no more." 18Now where there is remission of these, [there
is] no longer an offering for sin. 19Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by
the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil,
that is, His flesh, 21and [having] a High Priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a
true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and
our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold fast the confession of [our] hope without
wavering, for He who promised [is] faithful.

Verse 14 (AMP) For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected
those who are consecrated and made holy.

Verse 18 (AMP)  Now where there is absolute remission (forgiveness and cancellation of the
penalty) of these [sins and lawbreaking], there is no longer any offering made to atone for sin.

Verse 19 (AMP) Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into
the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus,

Verse 22 (AMP) Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in
unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by R2 that leaning of the
entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and
goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our
bodies cleansed with pure water.

Hebrews 11:28  By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who
destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

Hebrews 12:22-24  22But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the
heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23to the general assembly and
church of the firstborn [who are] registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of
just men made perfect, 24to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of
sprinkling that speaks better things than [that of] Abel.

Hebrews 13:20-21  20Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the
dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21make
you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ, to whom [be] glory forever and ever. Amen.

I Peter 1:2  elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the
Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be
multiplied.

I Peter 1:18-19  18knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, [like] silver or
gold, from your aimless conduct [received] by tradition from your fathers, 19but with the
precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

I John 1:7  But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Revelation 1:5  and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the
ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own
blood,

Revelation 5:9  And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to
open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every
tribe and tongue and people and nation,

Revelation 7:14  And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who
come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of
the Lamb.

Revelation 12:10-11  10Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and
strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser
of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11And
they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did
not love their lives to the death.

Revelation 19:13  He [was] clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The
Word of God.
